The Identity of a Forgotten Garden

This project centers on the regeneration and public revitalization of a site in Castiglione d’Otranto, Southern Italy. As part of a team, we crafted the park’s identity and designed an intuitive wayfinding system for visitors. I was tasked with developing the visual identity, icon system, and the comprehensive style guide.

To achieve authentic results, we immersed ourselves in the place for five days. Our goal was to create an identity that would restore a sense of belonging between the land, the park, and the local community, while exploring sustainable and organic cultivation methods.

The wayfinding system was thoughtfully designed to harmonize with the rural, natural landscape. We used a blend of white lime, blue pigments, and red soil to create signage that respects the environment and enhances visitors’ experience.
